Interrogation Mark.

The Interrogative Mark or Note of Interrogation (Interrogation Point / Question Mark) is used after a word or a sentence asking a question.

What’s that got to do with it?

How do you spell magnificent?

The Interrogative Mark is not used:—

(a) After a polite request:

Will you please pass the sugar.

Would you mind posting this.

(b) When a question is asked in an indirect manner:

I asked him who his doctor was.

He wanted to know when he might go.
