There are 26 letters in the English Alphabet; including 5 of them (a, e, i, o, and u) are called “Vowels” and the rest are “Consonants”.

Important Note: Pronunciations can vary / differ according to country, region, race, etc.

Advanced.

Syllables** = Linguistic Units which are counted based on vowel sounds in a letter or word, where you pause Unconsciously & Linguistically Just A Little Bit, Although speaker and the listener reckon as a whole/single sound.

W = *’dab(a)lyuu OR ’da-ba-ly,uu OR ’da-bal,yuu. ...

E.g. 1 : Love = love. (One Syllable)

E.g. 2 : Mother = mo-ther. (Two Syllables)

E.g. 3 : Syllable = sy-lla-ble. (Three Syllables) …

{‘Syllable’ is divided by hyphen.}
