English Alphabet.


There are twenty-six letters in the English Alphabet; A, a; E, e; I, i; O, o; U, u (and Y, y) are called “Vowels” and the rest are “Consonants”.

English Alphabet - English Capital & Simple letters with their pronunciations.

01. A, a – ey - (Vowel).
02. B, b – bee - (Consonant).
03. C, c – see - (Consonant).
04. D, d – dee - (Consonant).
05. E, e – ee - (Vowel).
06. F, f – ef - (Consonant).
07. G, g – jee - (Consonant).
08. H, h – eych - (Consonant).
09. I, i – ai - (Vowel).
10. J, j – jey - (Consonant).
11. K, k – kei - (Consonant).
12. L, l – el - (Consonant).
13. M, m – em - (Consonant).
14. N, n – en - (Consonant).
15. O, o – ow - (Vowel).
16. P, p – pee - (Consonant).
17. Q, q – kiuu - (Consonant).
18. R, r – aar - (Consonant).
19. S, s – es - (Consonant).
20. T, t – tee - (Consonant).
21. U, u – yuu - (Vowel).
22. V, v – wee - (Consonant).
23. W, w – *dablyuu - (Consonant).
24. X, x – eks - (Consonant).
25. Y, y – wai - (Vowel / Consonant).
26. Z, z – zed - (Consonant).

[*As here, for your convenience, **Syllables are ignored, wherever they may present.]

A = CAPITAL / Capital Letter / UPPERCASE. 
a = simple letter / small letter / lowercase.

Important Note: Pronunciations can vary / differ according to country, region, race, etc.

**Syllables = Linguistic Units which are counted based on vowel sounds in a letter or word, where you pause Unconsciously and Linguistically Just A Little Bit, although speaker and the listener reckon as a whole / single sound.

*W = ’dab(a)lyuu OR ’da-ba-ly,uu OR ’da-bal,yuu. ['du-bul,yoo]

E.g. 1 : Love = love. (One Syllable)

E.g. 2 : Mother = mo-ther. (Two Syllables)

E.g. 3 : Syllable = sy-lla-ble. (Three Syllables) …

[‘Syllable’ is divided by Hyphen.]
