Possessive Pronouns.


Mine, ours, thine, yours, his, hers, its and theirs are Possessive Pronouns. They are used on various occasions.

# When the noun to which the Possessive Pronoun belongs is understood.

> My hobby is collecting stamps; what’s yours?

> I don’t know what his name is; but hers is Kate.

> I found your hat; not mine though.

> The red stick is yours; the black one, mine.

> His is that, mine is this.

> Which is ours and which is theirs?
